A clear division of responsibility

What the buyer defines

The buyer owns the operating brief: forage type, field conditions, available tractor, target bale format, quantity, destination and seasonal timing. If a requirement is uncertain, describe the uncertainty. A supplier can explain an alternative only when it knows which dimensions are fixed and which remain negotiable.

Write the budget as an optional amount or range with currency and an equipment-only or whole-order basis. Premium, mid-range, budget-friendly and undecided selections express purchasing priorities. They do not certify a factory or replace inspection.

What our service organizes

Rural Link Sourcing helps turn that brief into a consistent factory inquiry and comparison record. We distinguish quoted specifications from questions awaiting confirmation, and keep substitutions visible. Our role is independent sourcing support; we do not describe ourselves as the manufacturer or an authorized agent of another brand.

Factory matching does not establish stock or a reserved production slot. Availability, minimum quantities, payment terms and lead-time assumptions need a supplier's dated written response for the exact configuration.

What the manufacturer substantiates

The named factory must identify the offered model, working width or capacity basis, power requirement and interface details. Request PTO horsepower, three-point hitch or drawbar compatibility, hydraulic requirements, safety instructions and wear-part identification rather than relying on a generic machinery photograph.

Warranty and service documents should state who diagnoses a problem, which parts are covered, where service is performed and who pays travel or freight. These are terms to confirm, not established benefits of a catalog entry.

What acceptance must cover

Before committing, agree the inspection scope, demonstration conditions, document list and discrepancy procedure with the contracting parties. Equipment cost, consumables, packing, freight, taxes and local support must use a common comparison basis.

A suitable field machine can still be unsuitable for your loader, storage building or transport route. Resolve the whole handling chain and local obligations with the appropriate technical advisers; a sourcing conversation does not complete that assessment.

Documents are questions before they are evidence

  • Operating and maintenance instructions. Ask for the exact model revision, language, adjustment procedures and replacement-part diagrams. Match the document to the delivered configuration.
  • Product-specific safety and destination documents. Ask the supplier to identify applicability to the exact US use and equipment configuration. A certificate for another model or market is not a substitute.
  • Commercial responsibility record. The purchase contract should name the seller, included services and acceptance obligations. No certification or third-party manufacturer's relationship is claimed by this website.

The sourcing workflow explains how these checks enter a comparable request. Our Blog carries practical procurement notes; source references support vocabulary and do not endorse a supplier.
